So, it’s David Weidman on the walls in Peggy’s office!

Last year I found a copy of this Mid Century butterfly print in a vintage boutique in Long Beach and fell in love. I noted the name of the artist, David Weidman, but never pursued it. Jump to this week, when I have been playing catch up watching all the new episodes of Mad Men and his art is back in my life. I am sure you have been admiring those prints in Peggy’s office like I have. They are perfect, with their color schemes and graphic yet handmade quality. I finally looked them up, and they are also the work of David Weidman. His work is really everywhere, and I just didn’t realize it. His prints from the 60s and 70s have been turned into pillows and posters sold at Urban Outfitters, and so on.  He is a local LA artist and 89 years old now. Here are some articles about him and his work here and here
